# Account Updater

## In this article, we provide an overview of the account updater built into the D-BAT Hub.

#### Overview

Account updater is a feature that’s turned on for all D-BAT locations that takes the hassle away from clients when their card is expired. PaySafe will automatically update the card on file if the credit card is expired and replaced with a new one. 

If a card is marked as lost or stolen, the card will not be automatically updated and will be removed from the PaySafe system.  When this happens the membership payment will change from Card to Pay Later

#### Best Practices 

The [Balances Report](https://dbathubhelp.upperhand.com/balances-report?hsLang=en) in D-BAT Hub was built to help you stay on top of unpaid balances and failed payments. As a best practice, we recommend checking this report daily/weekly to understand and address those who have outstanding balances with your business.
